MP find. Which one of you maniacs welded two seat posts together to the tune of 29”?
Probably not worth restoring. Converted to freewheel. Rides surprisingly good, when a regular length post is attached.

I laughed so hard today when I wrestled the seat post out for 5 minutes and measured it. 29”. I think a regular laid back would suffice but whoever had this went buck. Honestly just kept it on because the laid back top half may be OG. I really havent ridden it other than for a minute when I first got it.
