Having spent the winter in a marina, it was time to move back onto the cut for my second Spring on the boat. I explored the Aylesbury Arm and the Grand Union Canal. I got back into running and cycling along the towpath and took up paddle boarding too. Some of the bridges were a tight squeeze and it wasn’t always easy to solo boat, but I had fun and got in the mood for Summer.

    1. Omg I love your vlogs. So much content. I watch several times as I miss so much. Looks like you’re having a great time and omg the lantern how fabulous was that. Great work George. Looking forward to the next one. Best wishes. 🎉

    2. George! Or should I say, "Dr. George?" You were in my thoughts a few days ago. I was wondering what you had gotten yourself up to and if you were doing well. Being a fluvial nomad sounds rather interesting. Just being able to see parts of your country that most people don't see and having to deal with unexpected challenges sounds exciting. When I was a yunger lad, I owned a canoe. It was 17 feet long and took two people to manage. It was easy to pop onto the back of my car and drive to one of the many lakes or rivers in my state (Michigan) for a day or weekend trip. It was fun. I'm sorry to hear about the demise of your house plants. I have one that, if I allowed it to wither, I really think I would be haunted by one or more of its previous caretakers. That's how I've come to see myself. It was given to my mother by an old neighbor who said she had grown tired of it. From the stories this old lady told my mother, we were able to trace the plant's existence back to at least 1919 based upon the old woman's age. I hope you're keeping a detailed journal of your excursions. You could develop it into a novel one day. I'd read it for sure! I wish you well in your adventure and all the best! I am eagerly looking forward to your next video!
