  1. I don't think there will be a clear civil war in Russia. There isn't any clear leaders for rebellion. There might be a collapse though. That is, I don't think there will rise anyone who will take control of Russian government even to the extent of dismantling some of it. There are 2 Russias, Moscow/St.Peterburg and the rest. The cities are where money, education and foreign connections are. That's where a new national leader would have to come from, but Putin is keeping them controlled. The rest of Russia can't produce a new leader, but they provide everything for the cities, and are getting less and less back. They are also the ones seeing the returning coffins. Smaller, tighter communities losing their future as young men are lost to war. Smaller independent rebellions are more likely. Hiding would be conscripts, destroying government offices, black market trading etc. The cities are worried, but without a leader there won't be an uprising. The country won't have an uprising, but might start guerrilla rebellions.

  2. A strong authoritarian government can suppress civil backlash and remain in control. Just look at Cuba. The larger area makes it harder to maintain Russia. But with control of the media , the government has the ability to spin things in their favor. That’s why Putin is still popular among a lot of people in Russia. That’s why people still believe that the 2020 election was stolen. With new laws in place. The Russian government can monitor the internet and look for people speaking out against things that are happening in their area, that they can see first hand. Identify them and silence them. Also having control over what can be said, and where it can travel is a key to civilization repression. A powerful tool for maintaining power.

  3. Drastically ineffective military leadership, logistics & planning. Economy crumbling, massive draft avoidance & emmigration. The government propoganda can no longer hide the ugly truth when more and more Russian citizens are seeing and feeling the effects of Putler's vain incompetance. Feels like Imperial Russia in 1917 a bit….

  4. I live in Russia, 200 km from Moscow. I will not prove anything to anyone, because I think it is pointless.

Everything is peaceful and calm here, no protests or hatred (just type in YouTube "Walk around (any city in Russia)"

Many people are neutral about the war, because we perceive it as a war with the West, not with Ukraine. And even more so, no one wants their home country to lose.

Because of the sanctions, prices have risen, but not so much that people started saving.

In general, I don't want to leave the country, because I like everything and I feel safe here

  5. Correction, the Civil war is in Ukraine, turns out some Ukrainians would like to keep living, they value life.
Zelensky is the puppet of the corrupt US government, and some Ukrainians have a problem with that.

  6. One more reason for any good person to emigrate from Russia now is to protect herself/himself & the family from former soldiers, returning from the war in a wrecked condition, crazy from PTSD.

  7. Part of the problem is that a lot of the young educated dissenters, who would be key to a popular uprising, have fled Russia. Iranian teenage girls have bigger bells!

  8. In my opinion, the effectiveness of Western democracy for newly created nations should be confirmed by the sharp rise in the economies of these nations. An incredible economic power must be created in a limited area that will trade and supply advanced goods to the entire Western world: thousands of new industrial enterprises, the production of modern chips, aircraft manufacturing, space industry, advanced agriculture, nuclear industry, fanastic infrastructure, salaries are higher than in the USA and Europe, and so on.
And looting in the east of Ukraine and in the Kursk region, theft, corruption, a budget on external benefits, a harsh neo-Nazi dictatorship is not democracy. This is incredible shit and the failure of the entire Western democracy.

  9. I really wonder what the deal with Prigozin was. Probably a huge bluff where they told him that a huge force was already waiting for him and that he would have had no chance to win in Moscow.
Otherwise I would see no reason why a man like him would turn around right before accomplishing something big (not that he's a good man, but he could have been the one to bring Putler down and pull out of the war)

  10. 😀The world's population is approximately 8 billion people. Of these, about 1 billion people declared themselves to be carriers of democracy. About 7 billion people should be subject to an enlightened dictatorship. Why exactly are about 150 million people out of 7 billion the main pain in the ass for promoting "democracy" and arouse the main interest?

"Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant.
And whoever of you desires to be first shall be slave of all." (Mk. 10:43-44)

  11. It always amaze me that governments are able to turn so many soldiers and police men against the people. I feel most of these should have a background in the basic population with family and friends who are not really in with the leadership. And yet they will enforce laws and regulations that they must know is hurting their own people. And they keep doing so when it has to be obvious that the methods used are not compatible with what they were signing up for.

I really can't understand it. Sure I know that sometimes they have moved troops to parts of the country where they don't have relatives to make it possible to make them feel that what they do doesn't really matter to their family and friends. But they must still think about what the people who take up their posts in their own home district will be doing. No it's hard to realize just how we humans can be manipulated, especially in groups.

  12. I don't foresee any chance of a significant civil war in Russia.
    Putin will hold onto power.
After Trump gets elected, a peace will be declared between Ukraine and Russia, leaving Putin with a large chunk of invaded Ukraine to show for his efforts.
In the Real World, bullies do get their way.
It sounds sad, but it's a lot better than starting WW3.

  13. If there is a popular vote in Europe on uniting the United States and Europe to create a new global democratic superpower, then I will support the choice of the Europeans.

  14. From Vienna, Russia is going to win against the evil USA, they killed one million people in Irak, but they killed in many countries, Korea, Vietnam,Lybia and across Africa.
It's time that they go home and care for the millions of poor Americans

  15. My heart goes out to the Russian people who have a history of exploitation by these of Dictators and Authoritarian styles of suppression. We in our country are being faced with a regime backed by power mad billionaires trying to turn the United States of America into their own kind of Dystopic Authoritarian nightmare. Putin is the kind of "leader" that Trump the current American "citizen?" felon vying for power compliments, idolizes and grovels to so he IS their figurehead! An old, delusional rageaholic and a madman to boot. His followers WANT a civil war in our country and there are groups of these so called Militia's in many places across the country backing this madness. I will pray for the people of Ukraine, Russia, China and America that the almighty might intervene to save the people of the world from their greed and madness. It is written that this will be. I have an unrelenting faith in that. Peace Out!

  16. I wonder who will earn money for Russian pensioners in the end, although I think that since "old" people support Mother Russia so much, maybe Putin will come up with the idea of sending grandparents to the front. If they die, it will solve two problems at once. He will get rid of the beneficiaries and have soldiers (poor, but always some)

  17. if all the public raise at one go then Putin will fall . Russians need to learn from bangladesh how they overthrew their government.

    learn from french revolution too
or learn from your old story of 1917

  18. Hmmm, civil war may be brewing in Russia, but with his close connection with Trump, civil war is also brewing in the U.S. Together, Putin and Trump CAN rule the world!! Look forward to November’24 it all kicks off then!!
