From my understanding, I would first listen to what the tire itself says : in my case it’s 50-80 psiÂ
I’m at 83 kg which should be around 40psi according to frame but what does the frame knows about what tires I’ve got.Â
There is no overlap between those numbers so should I underinflate according to tire or overinflate according to frame ?
Tire pressure will depend on tire width, makes no sense to have a guide on the frame.

They might wanna avoid any legal issues? Never seen pressure recommendations on a frame, thanks for sharing.

Is this on a Walmart bike or something? They might assume that if you’re buying a low-end bicycle, you’re not the kind of person that is going to be swapping to better tires than what comes on the bike. Just a guess.

I recommend it is only a guide, keeping your tires correctly inflated makes pushing the bike so much easier and with certain tires it can marginally improve puncture resistance. Novices and beginners often overlook

People who are trying to optimize the bike performance will do the same thing. Though they will also take into account things like kind of tire and riding conditions. When infrared properly you will role faster with less effort. Here is an example of just one tire pressure calculator you can find online. https://axs.sram.com/guides/tire/pressure

I would completely ignore both and use a calculator like the SILCA https://silca.cc/en-eu/pages/pro-tire-pressure-calculator.
