I was super torn between three options when making my first “real” bike purchase: A) Surly Ogre, B) a shop-built Soma, and C) the Wilde Supertramp. I was able to test ride the first two, which threw them into the category of being safer bets, but there is a unique beauty and vibe of funness to Wilde bikes that made buying one online, off of good reviews, components lists, and geometry charts, less of a gamble.
6 days in, I’m stoked on the decision. This bike can do everything I need it to: cruise, climb, keep up, and blast over gravel and roots with its 29×2.5s.
