Watchy and myself went to cycle the new Dublin Port / Tolka Basin Greenway. A real tour de force of cycling infrastructure development. Great to see somebody getting it right.
When I come home to Ireland on the ferry from Holyhead on SailRail from Manchester where I’ve lived for 23 years and have extended family in Dunshaughlin, Co Meath, it drives me mad that even though they have extended Dublin Port to take cruise ships, there is not even a DART or a LUAS link from the Irish Ferries and Stena Terminals to even the Dublin Docklands station (for the M3 Parkway trains) where even Bus Éireann don’t have the same kind of terminus that they have at Dublin Airport, despite being at the Port Tunnel & M50 – Nolan’s Coaches and Dublin Bus have a very limited service from the Port and there is not even taxis, where walking is very dangerous around the Port area
