WE LOVE SOFIA!

It’s 100% one of my favourite capitals for a city break. I came in 2016 and two years later, still absolutely love it. It’s lovely to walk around and it has great coffee spots, pubs with nice beer, beautiful architecture and churches and of course more cheap beer.

The Rainbow Factory is defo one of the reasons Sofia is the best city for me, traditional food with a modern twist = vibes. Bicycle touring Bulgaria had been a blast so far and we’d finished pretty much crossing the Balkan mountains and were now ready to keep climbing further into the mountains as we headed south on the second last country of our European Bike Tour.

Heading South, we had a brilliant few days hitting up the ski towns of Borovets and Yundola, it was a tough climb but having been on the road with our giant touring bicycles we were feeling remarkably fit and healthy. At the top we were then treated to 100km all downhill. We pretty much cruised to the border of Greece. 100km FREAKIN DOWNHILL WUUUUUUUUUUT
