I want a carbon road bike, my old bike is a salsa jouneyer 53cm with sora.
I'm just looking for a upgrade from an entry level gravel
The Cervelo is a 2015 with ultegra di2 for $1500
The Orbae is 2013 with ultegra for $1000
The cervelo seems flawless
The Orbea just has some cable rubs.

The cervelo is almost 10 years old and the components are outdated. $850

I personally would not want 11 year old electronic shifting. Sounds like headaches waiting to happen. Mechanical groupsets can literally last decades if maintained and not ridden till they wear apart. Electronic groupsets have a shelf life. Like most electronics things some apart or connections fail or batteries don’t hold charge.
You mentioned having a gravel bike before. The 53cm geometry of a Salsa Journeyer is not going to be similar to a carbon road bike. These bikes are meant for performance and will give you a much different feel. Realistically, you need to know what you’re looking for in proper fitment. This also means knowing what measurements fit you.
With all that said, you can get a nice carbon bike for far less. Or at least for the true value of prices like these. $1500 could get you a much newer used aluminum road bike even.
