It's not easy and quick… it's a pain the ass and the last thing you want to do. ๐ But obviously follow their tips… it sucks… but you need to do this! Draging a mule to water… uggh… 7th least favorite task to do… I look forward to death so I don't need to do this ever again. ๐ข
Only applies to grease and oil. Wax and dirt donโt turn to pasteโฆ simply brushing the mech and cogs with a paint brush is sufficient for cleaning.
Degreaser = washing up liquid
I think itโs worth a discussion with Josh Portner or similar experts on best cleaning procedures with hot waxed drivetrains, please.๐
degreaser is debatable… it also removes every drop of grease, even in the smallest holes, and it solves new chain lube, compromising it's work in that process!
Never put degreaser fluid on your bike!!! You must remove your chain and cassette from the wheel because all that degreaser fluid will go straight into your hub, BB and ruin your bearings!!!!
Wax it and forget about cleaning
