Second time it’s happened in a little over a month. First was chunky downhill in Michaux so I get it, but this time was on a smooth jump line and the tire is hardly a month old. Any idea why it keeps happening? Would you plug it? I have another specialized purgatory, but wondering if I should move on to a different brand.

You are riding too hard , slow down 🤣
A lot of reviews of Specialized tires coming in good or bad batches, meaning there’s a decent chance of side knobs especially in the T9 compound tearing off within a few rides. Quality control isn’t great for some reason and the lower cost of their tires can lead you to paying the same amount for another brand that will actually hold up.
What tires are they? I want all the details. Brand, style, casing, OEM spec vs. Aftermarket, tire pressure, your weight, the bike they’re on, etc.
Get a stronger casing.
It’s marketed as a light trail tire. Go buy an enduro or dh rated tire
