Swift tires made by Panaracer, widest non-cross tires I could find that weren’t also heavy touring tires. They’re a little sluggish, but handle dirt roads well. Bike is an ‘84 Miyata 610 I’ve been toying with.
And now for something completely different: 27” x 1 3/8” clinchers on gravel.

this is giving me anxiety lol.
at least your pump is easily accessible!
So that’s 35mm? That’s not unheard of for light gravel.
35s on a dirt road like this ride like a dream. It’s funny to me people think you full knob 50s to ride anything besides pavement
Not THAT different. That was a standard UK touring set up as recently as the 80s, especially if you expected to encounter some ‘rough stuff’.
Same difference 😭
Smooooth
it’s crazy how much tubeless changes perspectives. i used to regularly ride deep gravel in east kansas on 23c.
also, 27” is really under appreciated. 27” x 1.8” would be pretty fun on gravel.
