Long story short my great grandfather modified this bike to be a girls bike in the 40s I think for my grandma. I just found it in my mother's shed and I am wondering where to start with it. I know that it technically isn't "worth" anything but it has value to my family. I did some research and I think it is is/was a 1930s rollfast. There is nothing technically wrong with it exept that the tires need to be replaced and the brake seems to take a very long time to stop. Is it by design? Thanks in advance!

    1. Gorgeous ride. Get some new tires, put some proofide on that saddle, and ride it till the wheels fall off.

    2. I’d get some penetrating fluid on your cotter pins to eventually service the BB.

Coaster hub is probably fine but grease is shot. Needs a repack. Look at the brake arm to fine a brand/model and then find a refurb video. Won’t need many tools but maybe a cone wrench.

    3. Sad to see a double-top-tube get murdered but cool family history piece! Fork, handlebars and kickstand are awesome. Do some research on servicing that rear hub, I’m no expert in that department but I’m sure there’s ability to improve stopping power.
