Budapest hosted its sixth annual ‘Underworld Cup’ on Saturday where bikers had to race against each other in a tunnel system underneath the city.
The event offered unique racing in a mysterious, unused stone mine, which is normally closed to the public.
The tunnel system at the stone mine was created in the early 19th century and many Budapest landmarks were built from the stone collected in this mine.
After the mine closed, a 35-kilometre (21-mile) long labyrinth was left behind.
The ‘Underworld Cup’ bicycle race uses only a short portion of the tunnel system.
