got my stumpjumper evo alloy almost a year ago at this point, overall been super happy with it except for one thing. whenever i compress for a big jump or hit a decently sized drop my rear wheel buzzes the seat! I've been looking all over for what to do but everyone just says to lift the seatpost which isn't really an option for me as I'm relatively short. size s2 with pretty much everything stock and full 29. any tips? (i could just deal with it till i get a little taller as i am a kid but its kinda chewing my seat so id rather not)

    1. The S1 uses a shorter stroke shock for this very reason. If your seat is at the height and horizontal position you want it at, your options are:

      1. Shock tuning: more volume reducers, more air pressure, more compression damping or a combination of the three.

      2. Install an aftermarket suspension linkage that increases the leverage progression.

      3. Install a mullet link (Specialized sells these) and a 27.5″ rear wheel.

      4. Grow longer legs.

1 and 2 rely on reducing the amount of suspension travel you’re using, so might or might not be realistic solutions. On the other hand, 3 (and arguably 4) is tailor-made for shorter riders.
