Got this brand new wheelset for $55 and the tires for $30/ea, glad I waited out the conversion for a good find. (Proper dual-pull calipers are on the way!)

Quick question, looks like an older steel Peugeot frame. On your before pic with the 700c those tires look thicker than 25c?

Lots of flex and not as much stopping power as the original dual pivot caliper brakes. I think Kool Stop salmon colored brake pads will give more grab. As long as you can skid, you can stop.
Your kids will like the new pads when they get their calipers back. Funny, but you didn’t steal the brakes of their bike. They’ve already outgrown that bike.
