Inspection for cracks and delaminating at the joints. Ride slow, listen for creaking. Build trust in old carbon, don’t assume it’s perfect.

Get that Trek frame inspected, lugged carbon is known for spontaneous disassembly

I’d start by installing handlebars and a seat post/saddle.

Ride the Schwinn, don’t ride the Trek. It’s better off used as a wall ornament.

i love sketchy bikes but i’d throw the trek on the wall. as others have said the lugged carbon is jank and might just crumble. also might be totally fine. is the gamble worth the injuries of a crash? up to you.

I have that exact same world sport in the exact same color. Great frame to build off of. Nothing special but it is 4130 chromoly and I like the geometry.
