Help with Pelago front rack

Hi all,
I recently purchased a Pelago front rack to put on my Kona with quick release. It comes with a range of various adapters but one to be used with fender eyelets and to swing around the bolt. However, it seems like this isn't going to be possible with my bike – the fork is too thick all the way down to the bolt, so can't get the adapter into the correct position. Any tips? Last three pics are examples of how it should ideally look using fender eyelets.
