My 2021 Specialized Vado 5.0 SL has almost 9,000 miles/15,000 kms on it, and I’m wondering if there’s maintenance I’m not thinking of. I don’t know that I’ve ever ridden a bike this far, and remember in the 1970’s needing to repack wheel bearings on my Peugeot UO8, and truing the wheels frequently. What should I be thinking about giving? All it’s gotten is new brake pads, chains, and cassettes.

    1. After-Sleep7469 on

headset and BB included? maybe even pedal and freehub. Not sure about how many km/years you need before servicing these but probably 3~5 years depending on weather conditions. Other than that you haven’t mentioned tires

    2. Besides what you’ve posted and what others have said, check hydraulic fluid, jockey wheels in the derailleur, wheel true and hubs. Rotor thickness and a general suspension service wouldn’t be bad for the bike. Look to the owners manual or if you know the specific parts on it you can look for service intervals there.
