I take a look at Basildon Park National Trust near Reading. As usual we are told no drones , the drone goes up and we show them that we are indeed allowed.

  1. It is an interesting argument that ad revenue derived payment is not commercial gain. How does that argument go then, it sounds like BS to me? It is probably irrelevant, the issue is open airspace, and sub-250gm law.

  2. So if I went in and photographed the sites belonging to the National Trust with my professional DSLR would the NT refuse to allow it because I could sell them.
How would they know what the intentions were without the photographer telling them and then once the photos are taken then the NT don’t own the images the photographer does along with all rights to them.

  3. Great to have a glimpse of Basildon Park through this fantastic free of charge drone footage. The National Trust ought to appreciate that not all of the nation have the capability to pay for their membership fees, entry tickets, and so on not to mention that those who are housebound can have the joy of seeing this which otherwise they would not. Thank you.

  4. I think they are charging too much for these sites anyway. They rip from car parking +the tickets + Β£5 for a cup of tea they earn the fortune for maintaining couple gravel roads and cutting the grass?

  5. The National Trust has been accused of going β€œtoo woke” after releasing a charity calendar that excludes both Christmas and Easter.
Members of Europe’s largest conservation charity were in disbelief over the β€œinclusivity and wellbeing” calendar which failed to include the Christian holiday but appeared to feature other religions’ festivals.

  6. You know, I appear you know, to be you know, the only you know, person you know, in the country that you know, doesn’t you know , know the law(s) you know, regarding drones you know?

  7. I am so fed up with The National Trust thinking they can tell people that they cant fly drones and that they think they own the bloody airspace !!!
I went to a carboot and village fete thing in Cornwall this week so I walked in the and the headland overlooking the sea was lovely and i took a drone up to see what would happen. I sat on a mound close to the edge on a farmers carpark with whom i had asked permission already, and sure enough out they came. Some snotty cow says " you can't use that here, this is a historical area of cliffs and headline you are forbidden so take it down " all i said waz "not your clifftop And not your airspace" she then said "this carpark belongs to the Church.
Err No it doesnt and it continued like this with a small crowd of people were watching..so carried on letting her get her knickers in a twist until a gentleman approached her and asked what the problem waz. So she starts again to which he said " madam this field belongs to me and i allow you to use as an overflow carpark so i suggest you remove yourself from my land".
It waz only the Farmers dad from whom i had spoken to for permission.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
    Brilliant.
Lets just say nothing else waz said !!!

Keep up the good work with what do. I could never afford to go to these placez with how expensive they are. So fascinating to see.
Best bit waz the guy looking up and you following him lol πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

  8. If I was growing trees spuds or cauliflowers I’d talk to the Gardner , however if I want to know the law regarding the flying of drones then I’ll be asking DJE !!!
