Some people asked me about my packing list, so I thought I’d share it here. I used the majority of this gear for trips in Eastern North America and Brazil totaling almost 6000km in 3-season conditions. And some items have been used for even longer or for travel and other outdoor activities.
I recently started keeping an up-to-date table of my outdoor gear with short reviews and notes. I’ve found it useful to avoid buying stuff I do not need. And when I buy stuff, it helps guide the purchase so I buy stuff that’s actually better or more appropriate. I generally find online reviews not super useful. The ones from professional publications are often just marketing disguised as reviews. And the ones from users are often made without long-term experience. Here’s the list, and reviews and notes can be found on: https://www.reddit.com/user/DefiantFlamingo8940/comments/1fmwb7l/bikepacking_gear_review/
