Hello everyone. Thanks for joining us on another explore.

This time we are in Nottingham in the East Midlands, to look at some of the amazing bridges that cross the River Trent, Englands third longest river.

We take a look at Lady Bay Bridge, the Victorian Trent Bridge, plus the original 10th century Trent Bridge, whose remains can be found in the middle of a roundabout!

We then make our way down river to Wilford Suspension Bridge. A bridge that not only carried people, but also water as Nottingham became to first place to have pumped running water, in Europe.

As an aside, the road leading up to the bridge was actually the first tarmac road on Earth!

We then head down to the remains of the former Great Central Railway crossing, before finishing our explore at the Wilford Toll Bridge.

Some awesome structures, and great historical stories.
