Well, I asked for some suggestions on new bike to get me back behind the bars again. After considering and combing through a lot of bikes, I just couldn’t find one that I was 100% happy with. After a lot of thought, the Soundwave just seemed like a solid choice. Back when I used to ride, I didn’t know anything about how much the geometry makes a difference.

I couldn’t imagine having the money to buy a bike like this back when I was a kid. I rode a GT interceptor, put stronger wheels on and rode that for dirt jumping and street. Then I got a hand me down Haro Backtrail, cut the bars super short so I could throw barspins without hitting my knees.

I really wish I had some pictures of the bikes we threw together. Anyway, I plan to session the drainage culvert beside my house when the Soundwave is delivered. I am going grab some quick-Crete and shape it up into something rideable.

    1. Spent more, but got one of the best completes there is which is really more of a custom build you just didn’t pick the parts.

    2. That will happen. Everything seems to cost more than expected anymore.

I picked up a Subrosa last year and was amazed at how differently new geometry feels. When I put it next to my old bike it looks really close, but that extra inch that the bottom bracket is moved back makes a world of difference in how it feels.

    3. I have the soundwave complete from 2019 and havent had to change a piece yet other than some cosmetic changes!
