    1. I was all “ah, doesn’t look too bad, it’s the same as my tern—“ and then I’m all “chain catcher? Wtf?”

Yeah, that’s a work stand job, not a roadside one. Pity. Hopefully the tyres are as puncture resistant as the 16 inchers are

    2. isn’t it obvious enough that even the demo was done back home / at workshop? 🤣

joke aside, it is not as difficult as it seems like. i have 3 bikes at home with shimano alfine/nexus.. on separate note, am i the only one who was stunned by the Gedore Torque Wrench used in the demo? that tool is at least $160 a piece here in US T_T

If I get the G Line, then I will save a step-by-step rear wheel removal and installation guide with pictures to my phone. A gravel trail may have bad cell phone reception, even if it is close to a metropolitan area. Bringing a spanner will also be annoying, as you need a big sturdy spanner for leverage, but I don’t want to bring a big spanner with me when riding 🤷‍♀️

And here comes the tubeless people 😝

Really no more complicated than it used to be on my old bike growing up. I don’t know what you’re all complaining about.

    5. Why doesn’t the chain ring have narrow wide teeth like a mountain bike? Is that they need the chain catcher? Do they not know about narrow wide chain rings?

    6. IMO it’s slightly easier
Front wheel: Easier since you don’t need to disconnect the brake and thru-axles are easier to deal with

Rear wheel: Slightly easier since you don’t have to remove the chain tensioner, however you do need to be mindful of side-specific tab washers

Added Work: One could say having to remove the front chain catcher cancels out the benefit of not having to remove the rear chain tensioner however like for like I’d say the chain catcher is slightly easier to do than a chain tensioner so still a win.

I was going to say having to now carry a 6mm hex key is annoying but the Brompton Toolkit comes with one so again no problem. Overall I agree it looks different than what we’re all used to but objectively speaking it’s actually an improvement.
