A Singaporean cyclist tackling the mountains of the Pyrenees and French Alps, taking part in cycling’s biggest event — the Tour de France — by 2030. That’s the aim of the Singapore Cycling Federation, which is also hoping a cyclist can win an Asian Games gold medal by then. The federation has inked a five-year deal with GreenEDGE Cycling, where cyclists can tap on professional guidance from Tour de France riders and coaches. The immediate target is to have a Singaporean race and train in Europe in 2021, by joining one of GreenEDGE’s three teams.
