    1. Are you looking for a bike to ride or an art piece?

If you are looking for a cheap bike to ride, get something from the ‘90’s. Shifting, brakes, etc. improved a lot between the ‘70’s and ‘90’s.

Source: I own and ride several 90’s era bikes.

No idea if this bike has value as a rare vintage piece, but I doubt it.

    2. No. It’s a lower end bike from probably the late seventies, probably a Motobecane Mirage or something like that. The “nicer” Motobecanes at the time pretty much all had the word “Grand” in their name. The Grand touring was just ok, not really anything to write home about but not bad, followed by the Grand Jubile which was pretty decent, followed further by the Grand Record which was quite nice with a bunch of Campagnolo parts and Reynolds 531 tubing, and further followed by the top of the line “Le Champion”. For three hundred dollars you could probably find a fairlt nice Grand Jubilé or maybe Grand Record. The bicycle picture would probably really only sell for $100, or less

That’s crazy up there. I’d slap a 50 on the table.

You prolly would need to swap almost everything on it to?
