Pentland Hills mountain biking. Another Big Stoozer adventure into the heart of the Pentland Hills Regional Park. Without a doubt, this is one of the best locations for cross country mountain biking trails in Scotland. I absolutely love the varied mtb trails that these wonderful mountains have to offer. The climbs to the summits of Allermuir Hill and Caerketton Hill were rewarded with spectacular views across the entire city of Edinburgh and the Firth of Forth. From the summit of Caerketton Hill we dropped down to the dry ski slopes of the Midlothian Snowsports centre and continued over to Torduff and Clubbiedean reservoirs. I recently learned that the dry ski slopes (clearly visible from the city of Edinburgh) are actually the 2nd longest in Europe. We finished this wonderful mountain biking trail with some nice downhill mtb at Maiden’s Cleugh to Glencorse reservoir below. All Action Cam footage was filmed with a GoPro Hero11 Black.
All Drone Footage was filmed with a DJI Drone Mavic 3 Classic. GPX routes are included below.
I was riding a Cube Stereo Hybrid TM 160.
