THE VIDEO: This is a riders-eye view of a relaxing bicycle ride around the River Marne ‘loop’ filmed on April 13th, 2024.
THE LOCATION: The 17.3km (10.7mi) ride starts and ends at Boulangerie Simon at 2 Rue Diderot, Champigny-sur-Marne, France.
THE ROUTE: From Boulangerie Simon we ride down to the Marne River toward Joinville-le-Pont. We cross Pont-de-Joinville and ride up toward the RER train station, taking a left on Rue de Paris past the local shops before turning right to go down the hill on the D148. We’ll stay on the D148 until we see the Brigade de Sapeurs-Pompiers de Paris – Caserne Joinville-le-Pont (the fire brigade) on the right, whereupon we’ll jump onto the bike path and join the Marne River as it flows in the opposite direction toward Paris. The ride will then continue along the river until we’re back at Boulangerie Simon once more a little over an hour later.
