    Maltese Festa & Ground Firworks in Birkirkara Ta’ Santa Liena/ St Helen, ,2023 MALTA



    I am over at Birkirkara for the festa of Santa Liena/St Helens Firstly I walk around the village catch the odd few bands around and glimpsed through the open doors and windows of the beautifully deccorated homes, walking about the St Helen’s Basilica we were lucky to catch the president taking mass, and then came the spectacular evenings entertainment with ground and aerial fireworks displays in an explosion of colour, firecrackers and loud music, Great evening, sad to miss the next day the main feast

      And we both sat on our lounge room and watched the festa of Santa Lena
      We were in Malta about five years ago
      And we went to Santa Lena festa
      This year looks really good fireworks are amazing to watch
      We enjoyed your video of Hamrun festa it was very nice
      I was born in hamrun ta sikina my mother used to say

      Great video, thank you for saying hi to my dad Rocco. We just sat down with a glass of tea and watched. Dad loves seeing how things have changed and telling me about how it was before the 50's when he grew up there. It made him smile to hear you mention his 11 kids, LOL

      Another great vlog Steve . No wonder that some of the streets were somewhat quiet ,everyone was at church. Must say , another beautiful church plus an amazing museum ⛪ 🖼 🎨 😲 .

      Hi STEVE. Birkirkara video was extra super…the fireworks at the end were ferocious considering the appear to be right among the crowd….no leaves left on the trees in the vicinity. Keep them coming please

      Wow! The church in Birkirhara is amazing,the beautiful ceiling and all the paintings
      Take ones breath away. One thing I have noticed in your videos is that visitors to
      The churches, are allowed to enter wearing shorts and showing there bear shoulders,
      When we visited Malta in the 90s, there was a lady at the door handing out a chiffon cover up, to either put round our waist,or shoulders, I wore shorts ,so I wore it round waist,
      because it was deemed bad , and a local shook her finger at us.,mind you there were less
      Tourists then,.
      The fireworks were amazing, realy enjoyed the video thank you.
      Hope your little cat is doing well,sooo cute.
