Wanted to share my story.
I bought my grail 2gen at the beginning of the year with the intention of running it with the aero bars. I waited and waited for canyon USA to stock them but that never happened. I was inspired by a recent post from another American who posted his grail with his aero bars and decided to make some moves.
I ended up using an intermediate shipping company based in the UK and the process was super smooth. Paid slightly more than the advertised price but I was going to wait any more. I felt a little nervous since reviews for all the intermediaries tend to be mixed.
I ended up paying $630us (after conversion) for the bars and the computer mount shipped to the UK.
I then paid the intermediate $150us for urgent handling and priority shipping. I could have done it for $75us if i went the cheaper route with economy shipping but I didn’t care at the point.
I ordered Tuesday from Germany. The company received it on Friday and processed it Monday. I approved the charges Monday and they immediately had it on its way via fedex priority. Had it on my door the next day Tuesday. So a full week. All in I’m about $780us when it advertises at $498. So definitely paid a premium with the intermediate and the conversion.
Will post some pics after I get it installed and dialed in.
If I had done it over I would have went ahead and ordered replacement elbow pads just to have on hand since I don’t think those are stocked in the US either.
