This started happening on my last ride, it's more of an issue when the chain is on the smallest rings.
Fairly new to cycling, so any guidance is appreciated.

Bet the freehub is gunked up, pull it and see. It’ll need cleaning and very lightly lubricating
Freehub is sticky, remove it and regrease it.
Also, is that a direct mount derraileur hanger for a Triban RC 520?
If your derailleur has a clutch, you may need to disengage it
Also, derailleur cogs and/or freehub may be gunked up so not ‘free’
