  1. Great video – just wanted to add that a tradition at Everton is a young girl dresses up as "the toffee lady" (based on the owner of the toffee shop you mentioned) and she goes round the ground throwing toffees to the fans of both teams

  2. a few others. Middlesbrough are the Boro" (as are Scarborough and Stevenage Borough) but used to be the "Ayresome Angels", after their old ground Ayresome Park and the local hospital, next door. Morecambe are the "shrimps", potted shrimps being a local delicacy in Morecambe Bay. Lancaster City are the "Dolly Blues" a reference to the colour of their shirts. Darlington are the railwaymen, the Stockton to Darlington railway being the first passenger railway in the world.

  3. You can buy Everton mints I got some once but being a reds supporter I don't buy them as a rule, I'm an Aussie but my mum is from st Helens Merseyside, been to Anfield a number of times but I've only been to the UK twice and not for ages,
