We set out early this morning, around 7 AM, for a ride to Parque de El Foix, covering roughly 30 kilometers round trip. The weather couldn’t have been better—cool at the start, but warming up as the day went on under clear skies with only a few gusts blowing down from the mountains. Along the way, we made a few stops, with the highlights being the Foix marsh and Castellet castle, the main attractions in this region that borders Alt Penedès and Garraf. The road runs along the marsh, and if you’re coming from Vilanova i la Geltrú, you’re treated to stunning views of the castle rising above the water. After the ride, we returned to town and treated ourselves to a fresh jamón bocadillo, a croissant, and some coffee at the local café, 365.
