I've been riding a 2022 Giant Revolt 2 for 2 years now and I'm loving it. I'm getting more into racing and I'm looking to get a "next level" bike later this year or early next year. My criteria are:

    • 3k USD Price ceiling
    • Carbon frame
    • 11 or 12 speed
    • 2x drivetrain
    • Clearance for 50mm tires
    • Race oriented instead of adventure/bikepacking oriented
    • Ability to easily swap in 165mm cranks

I've narrowed it down to the new Revolt Advanced 2, or the Felt Breed Carbon but I've got a few reservations about each. For the Revolt:

    • Weird proprietary(?) stem
    • BB is FSA's BB-AL86, it seems like this would lock me into FSA cranks?

    For the Breed Carbon:

    • Bizarre cable routing, won't this eat away at the paint on the top tube over time?
    • Colorways are kind of rough, why can't they just release bikes with the Un1td colors?

I'm leaning more towards the Revolt, but I'd appreciate any thoughts or experience that people have with either of these
