In this video, I take you along the first section of Reggio Emilia’s brand-new Cycling Superhighway South (Line 1), which opened in 2024.
Spanning 5.6 km from the city center to Rivalta, this is one of the first bike infrastructures of its kind in Italy!
But is it up to European standards?
Join me as I navigate this route, discuss the challenges of finding directions, and evaluate whether it’s a real alternative to driving.
