If thats a sram Dub BB. That not play, you are missing the black plastic dust cover that protects the bearing but also reduces the inner bearing diameter from from 30mm to 29mm(28.99MM) for dub spindles. Other BB also use a dust cover reducer. Unfortunately, for sram this is a non replaceable part as you are not meant to take them out. chris King you can get replacements.

What BB do you have there exactly? Is this a new install or something that is mysteriously not working after you took it apart and put it back together? Looks like maybe you’re trying to install a DUB crankset into a BB intended for a 30mm spindle. Some 30mm BBs can be used with a 28.99mm spindle with an adapter though, so if you’re just reassembling, maybe you misplaced it?
