2016 Felt Z7 – got down to $750. Comes with roval carbon wheels
2012? Cannondale synapse – confirmed at $450. Seller hasn’t used the bike much. Says previous owner took good care of the bike
2018?2016 trek domane – down to $750. “Barely used” stock set up
2013? Scott cr1 – $400
Looking for a bike to get into road biking. I’m willing to pay up to 1000 for the right set up. Most of what I can find is 10 year old carbon bikes.

Felt is interesting — good wheels are hands down the best upgrade you can make to the bike, and Roval wheels are very, very good. But it was a pretty low-end bike back when it was new, you can see Sora (second lowest) groupset on it still, so having a Roval wheelset on it seems very out of place.
Synapse ([2012, page 23, alt color](https://www.cannondale.com/-/media/files/manual-uploads/manuals/2012_mensroad_cusa.pdf)) is pretty nicely equipped, but I don’t trust older carbon that much. But $450 is very fair price.
Trek ([2016](https://www.trekbikes.com/us/en_US/pre-owned-bikes/pre-owned-road-bikes/domane-4-5–2016-54cm/p/48356/)) is best equipped and newest, which is a big plus. Ultegra 11sp groupset is very, very good. Full carbon frame and fork to boot.
Scott is nothing special.
So out of these four, I would go for Trek. Roval wheelset is very tempting, but relatively recent carbon frame and Ultegra groupset worth it much more in my opinion. If you find yourself into road cycling, you can always get a good carbon wheelset laters — QR rim brake-compatible wheels are falling out of fashion and are being sold off by people upgrading to modern disc brake equipped bikes.
The Felt is the nicest bike, however those look like an unbranded Chinese carbon wheelset, I could be wrong, and some are very good quality, but I think all Roval’s say Roval on the side
Easily the trek or felt. Which one is not so easy. See who will come down the most. You should be happy with either. They really won’t hold you back at all as a new guy and should have many years of life left.
