Please protect your skin, your future self will thank you. Take this advice from a sixty-seven-year-old who spent a lot of time in the sun through the years. Thanks for sharing.
There is one species of venomous make on Malta, The Cat Snake. It is not dangerous to humans.
What do you do for work if you're always backpacking 🤣
Liam, that was one amazing video, could even be a travel vlog ! You are certainly enjoying life my friend.
Great video as always. Been watching for a while. I sometimes wild camp (motorhome) in the Peak District.
Love the blue skies.
I did think you were wearing a prosthetic face for an acting role of something at the end 😂 Glad you are okay now 👌
your vibe is immaculate – keep it up mate
Love your vids mate, I'm 64 years old and still active, walked and cycled all my life, had loads of adventures, travelled round the continent busking for 2 years settling in Austria when I was young etc etc..thanks for the gear video by the way, looking to get off backpacking when I retire soon 😊
What a great looking trip. Can i ask a couple of questions? What tent is that and 2, do you use a hiking app to make your way around? Looking forward to going through some of your previous videos. Greetings from Barcelona!
Did you get rid of your van?
Found the same kind of shell fossils on the cliffs in Portugal. Mad to think the ocean was there a long time ago.
👏🏻👍
That wee rock its called Filfla and it is protected cause of unique creatures like lizard and plants on it.Enjoy my home country 🙂
Hey mr – could you do a beginners guide to getting into this? Poss seems obvious and maybe it is just trail and error 🙂 but would be epic- the gear kinda looks a crazy price at the top end but I guess you don’t have to go mad at first 🙂
Question Liam, have a you ever encountered a problem on these walks? Not allowed into certain places, been told not to camp or been moved on? Everything seems like it goes swimmingly, or is there alot of planning that goes into It?
I remember seeing a monument like this in Ancient Apocalypse
You should go to Madeira if you have the chance
Dude needs to wear his sunhat 😂
Enjoyed your pronunciation of Cisk. It's 'Chisk' with a sneaky silent H. Maltese is a strange language with ancient roots in Arabic and Sicilian.
This is my favourite video
Beautiful!
You are an inspiration.
Very chillaxing watching Liam just buzzing off simply walking, away from hectic crowds and traffic. A good formula.
I never thought u would ever come to my country ❤ welcome 🤗 ❤
Love your adventures Liam! Keep in trekking!
A nice walk along one of the nicest parts of our country. Thanks for sharing. Normally we do similar walks and more on this tiny island we call it Malta 🇲🇹❤️
Bro your red AF 😂
Liam. What did you do with the cycle you bought from halfords?
Good to see you backpacking outside of the UK now, I'm genuinely happy for ya.
I'll be backpacking in Thailand in 10 weeks. Can't wait 😁
I honestly wish you'd had someone with you to explain what you were walking passed. That "little island" used to be target practice for the Royal Navy. It it used to be twice the size but over two hundred years they pretty much blew it apart. Those monuments were Hagar Qim and Tarxien. If you compare those and Gantija with the long barrows in the UK and Maes Howe Scotland or Newgrange in Ireland you can see obvious associations. They're supine human figures, probably women, that gave (re)birth to the dead that were laid in them.
The forts were built by the Knights of John, who defended the islands from Arab and Turkish slavers who twice between 1456 and 1565 carried all but a tiny portion of the population off into slavery. That's why the British went there, to stop both the French and the Turks.
The British were there between 1803 and 1964. Malta almost became part of the UK. My family has a complicated association with Malta.
Missing the videos mate. Hopefully something new coming soon.
Im maltese and found your vlogs to be excellent, thabk you for show casing my country in such a beautiful way
Love your videos Liam – admiring your adventures from afar (from Western Australia)
What I like about this, is that ANYONE can do this
Malta isn't a usual choice for hiking but I've hiked there taking in the various Neolithic sites.Lot of shotgun shells mainly 12 gauge but the odd 20 gauge ones too so I'd suggest birds should avoid flying over the archipelago!
Hi Liam please I would like to speak to you in private about Joining the UK military please 🙏
I can’t sleep so, as I’ve done before, I’ll drink some water, pop on playlist of Liam’s trips and if I don’t drift off at least I feel that sense of happy solitude.
bro the nostalgia you gave me walking across gozo is mental i lived their for 3 years of my life as a kid thank you
I enjoyed that, thank you. Malta is my favourite place. I may be biased as my Mum is Maltese. Would love to do what you did
I have a picture of myself at 5 years old (1989) in that Popeye village lol
Incredible videos. Love 'em. If you haven't already been to Corsica it would be really cool to see.
Liam fair play… you are living thr dream . Im now 55 and didnt take your path in life , now i have disabilities. But watching you living the dream makes me very happy. Keep it up lad.
Fantastic video Liam, you have some great adventures, have you thought about leading guided walks in UK for fees, I would definately go
Liam thanks for going to malta my family are from malta
I'm heading off soon and planning this weekend and just have a quick question. When hiking and going via plane. Where do you put your flex Mat ? Because they want everything inside don't they when flying ?
Havent watched your vids in a while, good to see you got out the UK too. Gonna have to catch up and see how the van is!
Malta's brill'.
Watching your videos I see a lot of similarities to myself and it's cool. I recently found your channel and I love the videos so far. At 6:40 when you were looking at the rock/island in the distance and wondering if anybody has ever been on it, that's exactly what I think all the time when I see 'remote' or hard to get to places like that haha.
thanks Liam, that was a beautiful walkabout
Hi Liam. How many days did you hike round both islands in ?
