Help! I have looked absolutely everywhere for replacement hoods I have tried restoring them in the past but they are all well past that now. Does anyone know where to find the old Shimano hoods – ST5500, ST5600, ST6500, ST6600, ST4500, ST4600 or ST7700. I have managed to pick up one pair on eBay (have my listing notifications for all of the above turned on) but ended up paying crazy money and they were second hand and rubbish. Years ago, I accumulated a stash of replacement hoods for mine, they are extremely rare. Until EBay, they were impossible to find. They pop up occasionally, but they want an outrageous amount (currently, there’s a set for $150)
I’ve considered trying to learn rubber molding to create my own.
If you’re ok not being original shimano brand it should be pretty easy to find compatible ones on Amazon
