I finally finished building my 1980 Schwinn Super LeTour 700c conversion gravel grinder. The plan was to invest as little possible. I already had a fair share of the requisite components: tires, vintage mix-matched (but quality) 700c wheel set, Brooks saddle (bought with a vintage frameset and campy parts for $30), pedals, and vintage Nashbar saddle bag.

I bought the bike for $12.50. The original 27”wheels were horrible out of true, but I wanted to swap wheel sets anyway. The RD only had on pulley, so I replaced both ($10), the original freewheel was actually a cassette, so didn’t work on the new wheels, so I bought a cheap one with wider range ($15). The brake levers are AliExpress ($1.50) and also got some budget bar tape. The most expensive new part were the look stop brake pads ($25 for all 4). Thanks to fellow xbiker for sending me some vintage Sakae crank dustcaps absolutely gratis!

    1. Nice, and actually kept to a budget, very rare sighting.

As is the size, what size frame is this? looks similar to my 64 Vintage frame.
