  1. Steve McQueen bike. Great looking bike. Reminds me of my youth. Just after the 2nd world war @taffy2wheels used to pick me up on something like that. I loved it. Popping down to the local shop to pick the rations up.

  2. bloody great looker and well cool for a youth getting into bikes – they should make a 500…. On the subject of bargains, I saw a leoncini 500 trail for 2k this week in a shop, that was a 21 model i think, that is a bargain

  3. I have the Buillit Spirit but when i bought it i knew exactly what needed to be upgraded to improve the bike. Firstly, the seat height appears low but then the stock tyres are 130 instead of 140 rear as suggested on the specs, switching to 140 increased the seat height and is much more comfortable for a taller rider. I also moved the clip ons to the top of the forks for a less aggressive riding position, switched the mirrors to bar ends and switched the battery to lithium ion, the final upgrade will be a better chain when the current one is finally worn, all of this cost less than 500 and with the price of the bike pre reg it was still far cheaper than many other new and used models and can perform now at 70+mph

  4. I bought one of these on a 2020 plate back in February as a 'stop gap' after being knocked off my Himalayan.
I found it to be a lot of fun , and once the little Suzuki 125 GS ( clone ) engine was wound up it could reach 65mph relatively easily.
From personal experience, it's the 'electrics' ' that let this bike down , namely the ignition switch and the starter/kill switch.
Also the exhaust is prone to rust too . The standard chain always required a lot of adjusting too ….. But, they are built to a certain price and for someone just starting out they would be ideal as they are very light and ride very well. They could keep it until they get their full licence and then sell it on ; the Bullit is a cheap bike anyway, so there is always someone out there who would buy it ….
The parts "back up" on these is very good too 👍
