I realized I need to get my cardio up in the summer time which is super hard because it is stupid fucking hot and miserable outside and I hate it.

Was thinking about getting an exercise bike so I could get more consistent cardio during the week but I was recommended this

    https://rockbrosbike.us/products/rockbros-bike-rollers-adjustable-bike-trainer-stand-foldable-cycling-bicycle-roller-with-resistance-for-exercise?currency=USD&variant=44575643926580&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Google%20Shopping&stkn=02668972093f&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwxY-3BhAuEiwAu7Y6s2DwMpIaZYj-vIJ5SPenjrYbHkiunojCe5aeE7nj1F0Zaahrzy0T5RoC_BkQAvD_BwE

Seems like it would be way better than picking up an exercise bike as I could actually practice on my old hardtail and get a more beneficial results for my actual use case. Would also be quite a bit cheaper than even picking up a used peloton on the marketplace. Thoughts? Is there a better option?

    1. Direct drive smart trainer like the Wahoo Kickr Core or JetBlack Victory would be my choice over rollers.

It automatically adjusts resistance based on whatever the training app is calling for, so you can just get on and pedal and be on your power target without staring at a power number.

    2. Trainers seem boring af compared to MTB

/r/rowing ? Ergs are awesome cardio machines and the mechanics are really similar to technical riding

E-Bikes if you can afford the $ and pride, another good way to get zone 2 I’m told ….

    3. A direct drive trainer would be better than rollers for fitness. They are more expensive though.

    4. I’ve used stationary trainers and rollers. Rollers are more engaging and there is a learning curve. I prefer rollers, stationary trainers are mind-numbingly boring.
