Hello – I am a bit of a novice but picked up some great advice from this sub. I picked up an older trek single speed bike recently for commuting and would feel more comfortable with a rear brake which it didn’t come with. I purchased a shimano tiagra br-4700 calliper but fitting it I don’t see how it’s not going to grab the tyre which doesn’t seem right? Am I doing something wrong or did I buy the wrong thing? Thanks!
