After a vile ride around a beautiful route a couple of weeks ago, I decided to re-visit the same route on Saturday – I was on my Bonneville and I was accompanied by:
Sam on his 1200 GS
Steve on his Triumph Trident
Colin on his BMW 400 scooter
Dave on his Super Meteor
Basically followed a route through Sapperton, Duntisbourne, Daglingworth, Calmsden, Chedworth, The Cotswold Motor Hub, Meysey Hampton, Cerney Wick and through the Cotswold Water Park to Poole Keynes and back to Kemble. Unfortunately the AV8 cafe was rammed so rather than queue up we had lunch in the Tavern at Kemble railway station – excellent food and a friendly welcome!
Thanks for watching – anyone wanting the route I can send a GPX file!

Great place for a meet up!!
I go to the bluegrass festival most years, brilliant place
Always worth watching Rob . thank you .
Always a treat to watch your videos Rob.
How many Parsecs does the Kemble Run take then?!
What a beautiful part of the country
Haven't been to the Cotswolds, nice video chaps
Sorry if chatting to me spoiled your normal video commentary Rob, but I enjoyed the ride and the chat was great 😊.
Much better in the dry. Lovely route, Rob. Will give it a go, when it's dry (next year?). Music was v.good and I quite like the chat, BTW.
Really enjoyed the video Rob, Its the tiny lanes and villages that my wife and I enjoy when we go out for a ride and being on a bike you are a little higher than you would be in a car so you get to enjoy the views more.
14:36 this is sat 31st August from Down Ampney… I was sure I saw you leading the group ride as I recognised the yellow helmet!!! I was on my Honda & passed you all, was looking to see myself on the video but didn’t make the cut 😂
Beautiful village houses and a non Scottish weather run out for you and all your pals, what could be better for lifting your spirits.
All those beautiful walls must have taken millions of man hours over hundred's of years, and even a Red Telephone Box now becoming a rarity in UK, renting the cottages seems like the way to preserve their beauty, and not left to the madness of the Londoner's buying them all up as holiday homes, because they have ruined places in the whole of the English West counties.
All the Best.
An enjoyable ride in a delightful part of the country Rob. 😊👍🏍 NJ
Scenery looked great, music !!!!! Like you, I walk away from establishments that are rammed. Missed your whinging about potholes etc
I did the wet version with you all. Bizarrely, considering I'm very much a dry weather rider, I enjoyed the wet ride. Mike Burgess and I rode through rain that was in fact low cloud on the way there.
That looked a much better day and dry. The bike is sounding good as usual Rob.
Hi Rob, i have watched several of your videos and something felt familiar….i have finally twigged that i worked on your extension in the nineties, hope it's still standing! I enjoyed this one, love Stowell Park, used to play cricket on Vesty's front lawn before going for a beer in Yanworth club….happy times!
There, that's much better, isn't it? Dry day's make such a difference. 👍
