Hey there, out there looking for a touring bike. I live on the West Coast of Canada, and options seem limited and expensive, so the used market is where i'm mainly looking.
Recently found a Koga Miyata they're asking $1200 for, with full ortlieb bag setup. XT/LX parts, dynamo, front/rear lights, triple chainring, Maxxis Overdrive Tires, 36h wheels.
It does seem a little pricey for the age. I've seen fairly new Surly Trucker setups (albeit basic ones, some even without racks) for around $1700… Wondering what ya'll think? Would it be worth fixing up a little more and switching out some parts? Not sure of tire clearance on this as I do like wider ish tires. (like 2 inches)
