Barmsee and Geroldsee – A mesmerising hike in Krün [4K]

Welcome to this new hiking vlog in the Krün region of Bavaria.

We went for a day trip from Munich to Geroldsee/Wagenbrüchsee via Barmsee (which was a accidental find 🙂 ) near Garmisch Partenkirchen, Bavaria. Total distance of hike is approximately 11 kms.

It is really one among the hidden Gems in Germany as very few people know about it. It takes hardly 1:40 hours to reach Garmisch Partenkirchen from Munich by train. Then we took the bus and accidently went 2 stops ahead of Gerold which was supposed to be our original destination but gladly after 30 mins of walk we found Barmsee. From Barmsee we went to Geroldsee. You can also take your bicycle to this lake if you wish.

It is a perfect destination to be during summer with very few people around. If you don’t know, See means Lake in the German language. There are many places to visit near Munich one of them is Geroldsee and Barmsee.
