Tomato juice is so real on german flights, are you even flying if you don't drink it? Never have it on ground though, like most other germans
Smashed it, as always. The Mentor was a nice touch. As a PG pilot, I have often exceeded fl one zero zero. You can definitely sense the difference, on long xc transits you have to monitor your brain function…seriously.
The more you no the safer it is ? Yeah sure tell this to Boing
Sound quality of this video is terrible.
Derek did his homework pretty well regarding technical and physiological concerns for all flyers out there. So you understand why ears pop and a lil bit of stomach bloats. All aeronautical engineers including myself wished to have featured in this video!
Good job to the team behind this masterpiece. Keep spreading the awareness❤
One aircraft that takes efficiency to extreme lengths is the SR-71 Blackbird. Due to the way the aircraft was designed including its revolutionary engines, its efficiency actually increases as it goes supersonic and approaches its maximum speed. At that point, its engines function as ramjets whereby all of the air bypasses the compressors and goes through the afterburners.
No the food is shitty, i have been lucky to fly some really good first class flights, and you can certainly have great food on a flight. But lets be honest mostly its just cheep shitty junk
Wait… tomato juice?
I actually caught one over my head!
How dumb are those people ?
0:35 These guys can't be serious…
Petter!!!!! <3
No, no. These turbofans are DESIGNED to be most efficient at high altitude. This is no the same as "jet engines are more efficient with cold thin air" or whatever this dumbass just tried to say smh 🤷
if his radio had interference from a mobile phone the electronicts of that transceiver was NOT by the standards of the fcc of any other government communication organisation. especialy the european one. your electronics for decades already have rules about being shielded correctly.

Someone should have told Ocean Gate this… Cyclic Fatigue
Door: Murphy's Law, always plan ahead, even the craziest things
13:05 : If your expensive VHF radio (talking with ATC) receive *brr*brr*brr*, your radio is crappy, because it not able to correctly filtering signals , especially on much higher frequency bands (eg phones)
Huh, outstanding video!
I've started putting my phone in airplane mode once i got a roaming charge in the US while on a trans-canada flight
Why did some of the people that had non American accents use Feet? I know F1 sometimes uses MPH. Do they just talk smack about us using SI units then sometimes use it themselves???
Happy to see mentour 😊😊😊😊😊
I remember when I was younger, they offer tomato juice by default with water.

Was this filmed at Sydney airport?🤔
15:51 holy crap this explains why my leftover korean bbq tasted so bloody good at 30,000 ft 🙂↕️🙂↕️🙂↕️
russians are watching as we speak
"The more you know, the safer you'll feel."
I don't know about that. I tend to think that people with no anxiety at all must not be paying attention.
And then there is a general from WW2 who was learning to fly and whose instructor noted that it might never happen because after so many lessons, "He still doesn't even know enough to be afraid."
(P. S.: The nitrogen from that chip bag reduced the oxygen partial pressure. Good thing it was not much bigger. )

Makes no sense about FM RADIO unless your broadcasting. The FM frequency is still there.
00:13:10 interesting enough, my High School Civics Teacher had a pair of unplugged powered on computer speakers that caught those cell signal noises, which triggered him to locate who had their phone on or out.
Hey could You dig into the topic of batteries on planes? I was always curious about that when You check in Your luggage they ask You "is there a battery". It is strange for me that they rely on my declaration. Or maybe they do scan it later. What then? If they find a small battery AAA are they grounding the flight? I understand that batteries are hazardous so I can imagine with so many flights that it would be a great danger relying on xrays scans and declarations only.
