Im a long time fixie Rider from northern Germany, so basically zero elevation. Half a year ago i Moved to Innsbruck, Austria to study and i found myself with a 49/17 gear ratio and no brakes in the heart of the alps. I could’nt ride anywhere but next to the river and eventually got pissed seeing all my new friends going on gravel rides. Now i got myself a used Stevens Gavere with:
• Shimano Claris 2x8 shift levers
• Shimano Claris rear derailleur
• Shimano BSA bottom bracket
• Shimano Sora crankset
All Other Parts are Stock.
I payed 680€.

Looks like it’s set up nicely. Ride it to death, and avoid the spiral of doing infinite upgrades (unless you wear something out)
