Grenspalenklassiekers never disappoint. Hot coffee and ‘vlaai’ at the start, great refreshments at the stops, pasta & a beer afterwards, combined with the friendliest of volunteers, is what makes the grenspalenklassiekers some of my favorite gravel events since I started participating. All you need to do is keep those legs churning all day long.
Brabantse Kempen 2024 was great again. Lovely weather, and a great route along the border of Belgium and The Netherlands. They had some of the same parts as last year, but you rode in the reverse order of last year, so it felt like a brand new route.
When the 2025 Grenspalenklassieker calendar comes out, you can bet I’ll be the first to sign up again. Much love to the whole team there.
