Looking at some second-hand gravel bikes in the area and found these two interesting options. I am not sure which to pick. Planning to do mostly a mix of gravel and road biking.

The Polygon Bend seems like a good value for the GRX810, but I am slightly concerned about the climbing capabilities of a 1x system. It also has some no-name cranks and wheels.

The Specialized Diverge has a 2×8 Shimano Claris that should be better for climbs, but I would be missing out on the hydraulic disk brakes and the better group set. Not sure how much better those things are.

Any input or advice is greatly appreciated.

$1,000 Polygon Bend R5: (From the seller)

For sale a gently used Polygon Bend R5. Completely stock as seen here https://www.polygonbikes.com/bend-r5/ Has GRX800 series shifters, derailleurs and hydraulic brakes. Probably ridden under 300 miles over 2 years, so plenty of life left on the components. Only selling because my partner would prefer a lighter bike. Originally $1700, willing to listen to offers near $1000.

$675 Specialized Diverge E5: (From the seller)

For sale 2022 Diverge E5. The bike was seldomly ridden and is in very good condition. It's a 2X8 speed, 52cm sizing. I'm around 5'6" and it's a perfect fit. Comes without pedals. Cash sale, local pick up only, thanks.
