    1. I couldn’t quite find the sort of fork mounts I wanted, so having access to a fancy 5-axis CNC machine at work I thought I’d make some!

They weigh 17g each, so 68g for a set. Ultralight or what?! They’re pretty damn solid when locked on and can hold a tent or similarly round object solidly. I think quite a cool, unique look aswell, haven’t seen anything like these! I’m not 100% sure on the way to attach things to them – webbing buckles work fine but I think a cordlock sort of system might look cooler. I want the attachment system to be removable so you can ride around without them if needs be.

I’m also half wondering if these would be something people would like to get their hands on. There’s lots of spare machine capacity so could probably get a short production run together and send them out.

    2. Look awesome!

Do they stay screwed tight ? I once fixed a cage with just one screw and some cable ties ( only had the one hole) and it unscrewed itself after some km …maybe the upper and lower part need to be connected?

      I’m no pro, just asking

    3. These are very good looking. I saw similar products but they don’t look that nice. Would look great on a Ti or SS fork/bike.

I think some people might be interested in those mounts but I guess the price would be high since these are CNC-made.

I would also suggest to try to design something more robust to cover all 3 holes and maybe get a horizontal base or some other solution to hold a bottle. Yes, the weight would be higher but it would greatly improve stability and usability. Combined with good looks – there are not that much alternatives (King cage comes to mind but that’s all).

Tbh for a fork, where the manufacturer rated weight limit is generally for the 3 holes being used, I see no advantage of using this over a Tailfin Cargo Cage Small (57g vs 3x17g = 51g) and the Tailfin has some nice features like the optional load chip and the rubber contact points (and obviously being a single piece).
